TBC Announces New Shareholders

Mumford, Mullen, and Vena Named Shareholders

Albany, N Y:  Stephanie L. Mumford, CPA, Geoffrey Mullen, CPA, and Mark Vena, CPA have recently been named Shareholders for Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C. (TBC). The promotion for Mumford, Mullen, and Vena took place on April 1st.  Mumford joined in 1999, while Mullen joined in 2020, and Vena joined in 2012.

Mumford with a Bachelor of Business Administration, from Siena College, specializes in audits of nonprofits and commercial entities and has extensive experience performing compliance audits of various federal award programs. Mumford leads the TBC Not-for-Profit Group and is a member of the Firm’s Professional Standards Group.  She is responsible for research and implementation of new accounting and auditing standards and presents at various Firm wide seminars.  Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family.  She resides in Clifton Park with her husband and two sons.

Mullen with a Bachelor of Business Administration, from Siena College, and Masters of Science in Taxation, from the State University of New York at Albany, has over 25 years of extensive experience in real estate partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, private equity portfolio companies, technology companies, state and local taxation and tax credits, flow-through companies, consolidated corporate tax filings, international tax planning, real estate transaction planning, and estate planning. Mullen is a member of the TBC Real Estate Committee and Manufacturing & Technology Committee. Outside of work, Mullen is the Treasurer for the Bethlehem Basketball Club.  He resides in Slingerlands with his wife and three children.

Vena with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, from Siena College, and Master of Science in Accounting from Siena College, is experienced in providing tax services to a wide array of businesses, including a concentration in the real estate industry. He focuses his time on individual and partnership taxation, including tax and estate planning, and tax laws and changes for commercial entities ranging from real estate developers to construction contractors among others. Vena is a member of the TBC Real Estate and Technology Committees. Outside of work, Mark likes to read, hike, golf, and enjoys spending time with his family and dog.  He resides in Clifton Park, NY
