How to access and use the ShareFile Portal

How to log in

  1. Enter https://tbccpa.sharefile.com in any Web browser.
  2. Your username is your email address associated with the account.
  3. Enter your password, and click “Log In”.

Note: If you cannot remember your password or do not yet have an account, click “Forgot password?” at the bottom of the page to create a new password/create an account. If you create an account, please contact TBC to get access to your client files within ShareFile.

How to access the folder/portal

1. From the home screen after log in click on the folders option on the left side.
2. Select shared folders, this will show you a list of any portals/folders in which you have permission to access.

How to upload a file to folders

  1. Using the upload button
    1. Navigate to the folder to which you’d like to upload a file in your ShareFile account, and click on the “+” on the top right, select “Upload”.
    2. On the next screen, drag and drop the files you wish to upload from your computer folder or desktop to the box on the screen.
    3. After placing all files you wish to upload in the box, click Upload Files. If successful, a green box will appear at the top of the folder screen that says, “File(s) uploaded successfully.”

    1. You may also upload by navigating to the correct folder and simply dragging and dropping any files you wish to upload.

How to download a file from a folder

  1. Navigate to the folder in your ShareFile account that contains the file you wish to download.
    1. Click on the square next to the file (if in list view) or in the top left of the file (if in thumbnail view).
    2. Once clicked, the download button will appear toward the top of the screen. Click download. You may download as many files as you wish.
  2. You may also preview the file and then select download on the right side.

How to create a folder

  1. Navigate to the main folder to which you’d like to create a folder (i.e. “To Firm”), and click the “+” on the right hand side of the screen.
  2. Click create folder (second option)
  3. Enter a name for the folder with appropriate details and click “Create Folder”

What do you do when you receive a ShareFile email or a ShareFile request for documents?

How to upload a file to a request for documents

  1. You will receive an email from a member of TBC with either a ShareFile URL or a “Click here to upload files”.
  2. Click on the link.
  3. On the screen that appears, drag and drop the files you wish to upload into the “Drag Files Here” box.
  4. Click upload on the bottom left corner.

How to download a file from a link

  1. You will receive an email from a member of TBC labeled “Citrix Attachments.”
  2. Click on the “Download Attachments” button.
  3. Log into Citrix. See instructions on how to log in below.
  4. The file will open in a preview pane. Click download in the top right to download.
  5. If there are multiple files, they will automatically download in a zip file.
