As another tax season comes to a close, TBC is proud to announce that the Firm has been named a “Top Workplace” by the Times Union for the third year in a row.

“When I started my career at TBC more than three decades ago, it was clear to me then that the founding partners wanted this Firm to be a place where professionals could learn, flourish and succeed,” said James W. Drislane, Managing Partner. “It is truly incredible to see that these values have not changed as our business has grown to its current status.”

Located in the Capital of New York State, in the Heart of the Tech Valley Region, TBC has focused on serving the local business community since its formation in 1971. TBC is above average in recruiting and retaining talented individuals, Drislane noted.

“It is one thing to say that you try very hard to create an environment where people are happy and productive, but it is another to actually receive the affirmation from your employees that comes with a recognition such as this one,” said John A. Chiaramonte, shareholder and founding partner.

“It may be a cliché, but ‘happy people are productive people” and the shareholders and I view this award as a testament to our ability in delivering high quality work to our clients,” Chiaramonte added.

TBC has experienced significant growth over the last 43 years and today, the Firm employs over 85 full time professionals. Drislane and his shareholders credit much of its success to the dedication, commitment and longevity of its employees. The Firm regularly hosts employee outings, promotes wellness, and has highly competitive compensation and benefits. Employees are given support for the CPA Exam and other professional designations, as well as opportunities to further their industry knowledge through Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses and conferences, both locally and nationally.

Serving clients in the areas of accounting, auditing, tax, and advisory services, the Firm offers specialty services such as trusts and estates administration, business advisory, valuation, litigation support services, fraud investigation, forensic accounting, and pension services for a diverse clientele in six primary markets: commercial businesses, governmental, employee benefit plans, labor organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals. Commercial clientele includes construction contractors, distributors, manufacturers, professional service firms, automotive dealers, real estate developers, retailers, technology companies, and wholesalers among other businesses.
