TBC announces staff promotions

The shareholders and partners at Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C. (TBC) are proud to announce the promotions of six associates. The announcement was made by James W. Drislane, Managing Partner.

Michael J. Canfora, CPA was promoted to Tax Supervisor and MC Unger, CPA, was promoted to Senior Tax Specialist in the Tax Department.

Three associates were promoted to Senior Accountants: Ben Giannetti, CPA, Aleisha Coons and Justin McNall. In the Business Advisory Services division, Michela Paniccia was promoted to Specialist.

“We are very proud of these staff members for the accomplishments they have achieved,”said Drislane. “One of the reasons our Firm is successful is because our staff is dedicated to bringing a high level of professionalism and expertise to our clients.”

Canfora, who joined the Firm in 2007, obtained his accounting degree from the College of Saint Rose. He works with individuals and a wide range of businesses. Unger, who joined TBC in 2012 after working for a national firm, spends much of her time focusing on corporate and individual tax clients. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in accounting from the University at Albany.

Giannetti,Coons, McNall and Paniccia all joined the Firm in 2011. Giannetti, a graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, works on both tax and auditing services for a broad range of clientele.  Coons, a graduate of the University of Vermont who also received her Master’s degree in accounting from the University at Albany, works with the Firm’s Governmental Client Services Group. McNall holds an Associates degree from Hudson Valley Community College in business administration and a Bachelors degree in accounting from the College of Saint Rose. He has a special focus on Employee Benefit Plan Audit services. Paniccia, a graduate from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, joined the business advisory services team in 2011 after serving in other capacities at the Firm. Paniccia’s duties include supporting the business advisory services team with client relations, research and overall departmental operations.
