Pamela Wickes to Lead Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte’s Forensic Accounting Services

(TBC), a 75 person accounting and advisory firm, announced the continued expansion of its practice through the introduction of Pamela Wickes, an experienced Certified Fraud Examiner, to lead the firm’s Forensic Accounting Services division. The announcement was made today by TBC Managing Partner Robert H. Kind.

“We strongly feel that Pam’s experience and proven track record of success in the forensic accounting services area will be invaluable in our firm’s desire to enhance this division,” Kind said. “Our decision to bring Pam on board and spearhead this division is a direct result to our initiative to expand our business by offering clients a suite of services that are highly sought after in our market.”

The additional services include investigation of financial transactions, fraud prevention and detection, internal control assessments and recommendations, forensic accounting and record analysis, investigation of alleged structuring of cash deposits and unreported income, tracing of assets and cash flows, forensic investigation of factors leading to insolvency, lifestyle analysis for matrimonial matters, economic damage assessment for lost profits, report preparation for internal client use, insurance claims, prosecutors and law enforcement, among other specialties in financial forensics and litigation support services. In the last few months, TBC has expanded through other measures including an acquisition of a small local accounting firm and the admission a new shareholder to its practice.

Wickes graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of Oswego. She has over 16 years experience in the accounting industry. In addition to obtaining her CPA license, Wickes has earned the designations of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV). Prior to accepting the position at TBC, she served as a controller in the commercial private industry before working at another public accounting firm for the past 15 years, most recently as a key player in the firm’s valuation, forensic and litigation services division. Wickes has presented continuing education seminars to various audiences and published articles and topics including accounting, financial statements, business valuation, collusion, and fraud prevention and detection.

Wickes currently serves on the Board of the Albany Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Capital District Women’s Bar Association, a chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York.
