Tax Senior

Position Responsibilities

  • Preparing complex tax forms for individuals and businesses in various industries
  • Performing research on various tax laws and regulations in order to answer client inquiries
  • Providing tax support to audit teams as needed
  • Responding to state and IRS tax notices and assisting on tax audits
  • Keeping up to date with ongoing changes to legislation and assessing the effect on planning activities
  • Preparing recommendations for clients’ tax issues
  • Coaching and developing staff members and interns
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

To qualify for this role you must have:

  • A Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation, or a related degree that provides eligibility to sit for the CPA examination in NYS
  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of related work experience
  • Active progress towards or plans to obtain CPA certification in NYS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Expertise in organization and time management; ability to adhere to time budgets
  • Ability to analyze complex tax matters
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and tax preparation software
