Two New Accountants Join Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C.

Growth and hiring continue at Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C. (TBC), one of the Capital Region’s largest accounting and advisory firms. James Drislane, the Firm’s managing partner, announced the addition of two new staff accountants, Kate Bielawa and Megan Lacy.

Bielawa, a familiar face at the Firm, has been a seasonal employee at TBC for the past two tax seasons. After completing her undergraduate degree in 2012 at Binghamton University where she majored in Economics, she completed coursework in accounting at the University at Albany to gain enough credits to sit for the CPA exam. Bielawa joined the Firm this January in a permanent role.

Lacy is a recent Siena College graduate, earning her Masters in Accounting degree in December 2014 after completing her undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Business Administration, also at Siena. She was recently working for a local financial institution before beginning her employment with the Firm earlier this month.

“The Firm is excited to welcome Kate and Megan as its two most recent hires. More than ever, we are looking for candidates with advanced degrees because they possess the education and skills necessary to work in our fast growing Firm,” said Drislane.

TBC now employs 88 associates, all who work out of one office location at 7 Washington Square. Drislane said he expects the Firm’s employment number to continue to increase and be up to 100 people with the addition of seasonal workers this tax season.
