“One of our firm’s primary goals is to help privately held businesses grow effectively by providing them with sound accounting and advisory services. While assisting our clients is our major focus, we are also interested in expanding own business which makes this recognition as the Small Business of the Year a special honor,” said Managing Partner Robert H. Kind.

The annual Small Business Awards recognize businesses with fewer than 100 employees that are setting the standard for business excellence in the Capital Region.

TBC offers accounting and auditing, personal and corporate tax, trusts and estates, business advisory, valuation and pension services for a diversified clientele. TBC serves four primary markets: commercial businesses, governmental, not-for-profit organizations, and individuals. Commercial clientele includes construction contractors, distributors, manufacturers, professional service firms, real estate developers, retailers, technology companies and wholesalers.

“As a small business in this fast-paced economy and competitive environment, we have focused on meeting our clients’ needs, treating our employees right and being highly involved in the community. We are proud to be recognized by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce,” Kind said, “Community advocacy has always been an underlying theme in our business. Whether we are supporting the communities where our employees live, the communities in which we do business or supporting our not-for-profit clients, we are committed to helping those in need and creating a brighter tomorrow. As an illustration to celebrate our 40th year in business this year, we have committed to supporting 40 different charities.”

The firm has eight shareholders, including Chairman, John A. Chiaramonte, Managing Partner Robert H. Kind, Katharine K. Doran, James W. Drislane, Robert A. Drislane, Pasquale M. Scisci, John R. Teevan, Jr. and Kevin B. Tully.

While most of the firm’s clients are located in the Capital Region, TBC offers financial, tax and management advisory services to clients throughout the U.S. Through a partnership with CPAmerica International, TBC can access resources within a national network of independent mid-sized firms dedicated to their local communities.
