Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C. (TBC), a regional accounting and advisory firm located in Albany, NY, donated three new iPads to the local U.S. Marine Corps to assist their efforts in collecting donated toys to give to children in need this holiday season. The local campaign has been serving the community and providing toys to kids in need for over 45 years.

“Through our ‘TBC Gives Back’ program, our shareholders, partners and staff enthusiastically support a wide variety of charitable and community organizations,” said Managing Partner James W. Drislane. “When TBC learned that the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign was in need of three iPads to support this year’s toy drive, we were happy to step up and help them in a unique way.”

Toys For Tots Coordinator GySgt Albert Roman said that his goal for the 2013 campaign is to provide donated toys to about 200,000 children this holiday season.

“We are extremely grateful that a local company was able to meet our request,” said Roman. “With TBC’s contribution, we are better prepared to run this drive efficiently and achieve our goal.”

The toy drive kicked off on Friday, October 4 at Integra Networks in Latham. Integra Networks has provided its warehouse as a home base for the collected toys and Roman and his assistant coordinators are excited to be able to track the donated toys within the space and perform other logistical operations necessary in coordinating this program.
