TBC Has Heart

Firm members enjoyed an elegant evening to celebrate the work of the American Heart Association (AHA) on Saturday, February 25 at their annual Heart Ball.  For many years, the Heart Ball has helped to progress the mission of the AHA, which is to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease, and stroke. As a “Buy the Ball” sponsor, we were proud to show TBC’s support to Dan Pickett, CEO of nfrastructure, and Jennifer Pickett, who co-chaired the 2017 Capital Region Heart Ball. This year’s annual event included the presentation of the Donald Led Duke Heart Hero award to recipients Steven Frisch, M.D., senior executive vice president for the Integrated Delivery System at Albany Medical Center; Angelo Calbone, president and CEO of Saratoga Hospital; and Jay Cahalan, president and CEO of Columbia Memorial Health. Guests listened to a captivating address from Dr. Joy Lucas of Upstate Animal Medical Center, who shared her personal story of heart disease.

The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association are devoted to saving people from heart disease and stroke – the two leading causes of death in the world. We team with millions of volunteers to fund innovative research, fight for stronger public health policies, and provide lifesaving tools and information to prevent and treat these diseases. The Dallas-based American Heart Association is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. The American Stroke Association is a division of the American Heart Association. To learn more or to get involved, call 1-800-AHA-USA1, visit heart.org or call any of our offices around the country.
