Business valuation and enhanced earnings expert Johanne Floser joins TBC

Johanne FloserTeal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C. (TBC), an Albany-based accounting and advisory firm, has announced that business valuation and enhanced earnings expert Johanne Floser has joined as Client Manager. She is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA).

“Combining Johanne’s expertise with valuations, particularly those of professional licenses and practices, with our current accounting and advisory service capabilities creates a unique environment to meet our clients’ valuation needs,” said James W. Drislane, CPA, managing partner. “Having Johanne on our team will allow TBC to continue to provide its clients with the best resources available. She is coming on board at the perfect time and will help us keep up with the fast paced growth in our Business Advisory Services division.”

Floser, who has over 19 years of valuation and related experience, has personally conducted over 650 independent valuations of privately-held businesses, professional practices, professional licenses and advanced degrees for use in matrimonial matters, litigation, buy/sell transactions, economic damages and estate tax proceedings, and prepared statements of net worth for use in matrimonial matters.

Before joining TBC, Floser spent 14 years with a regional accounting firm, serving as a senior manager for the last six years. In addition to the significant leadership experience Floser brings, she also has worked with a wide range of privately-held commercial and professional clients and has authored numerous valuation articles, including one that was published in the New York Law Journal and several that were published in the New York Family Law Monthly.

Floser earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. She has completed numerous qualified continuing professional education courses with a concentration in the disciplines of valuation and litigation.

In addition, she is a member of the Capital District Women’s Bar Association (CDWBA) and serves on the Board of Directors for The Legal Project. She is also a member of the Albany Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
