Eastern Contractors Association, Inc. (ECA) is a trade association of general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and service firms engaged in commercial, industrial, and institutional construction throughout eastern New York. ECA traces its history to 1890 and the builders’ exchanges in Albany, Schenectady, and Troy. From 1958 to 1980 ECA was called Eastern New York Construction Employers, Inc. ECA is the only regional “full-service” contractor association serving the needs of all segments of the construction industry.

The Association is governed by the Board of Directors, which determines policy and prescribes courses of action. The Association’s staff, which has over eighty-five years of construction industry and contractor association experience, administers the day-to-day affairs in accordance with decisions and policy established by the Directors and committees. Standing committees include: Affirmative Action, B.I.E. Board of Governors, Education, Ethics, Industry Relations, Membership, and Programs. Learn more about the ECA.
