TBC recently sold roses to help support the Brain Injury Association of New York State (BIANYS), a nonprofit membership organization that provides advocacy and support to individuals with brain injuries and their family members. TBC sold 24 dozen roses, doubling last year’s order for a total amount raised of $600 for the cause.
BIANYS is the only statewide advocacy and support organization assisting the many New Yorkers with brain injury. The association provides resources, support groups, training, prevention, and other services to help individuals with brain injury and their families get the help they need. Whether the injury is caused by a traumatic event such as a car accident, or by stroke, brain tumor, aneurism, or other incident, brain injury occurs much too often. Brain injury awareness month is coming up in March, so make sure to spread awareness and join in the support for BIANYS.
