TBC was proud to team up with NYBDC and the Capital Region Chamber this morning to sponsor the Economic Update by Hugh Johnson. The event drew over 300 business men and women and the topics covered by Johnson were featured in the Albany Business Review. In keeping with our tradition of making a financial contribution to a local charity in lieu of providing promotional gifts on the tables for the attendees to take home, TBC and NYBDC donated $2,000 to Capital Roots.

“We felt since Capital Roots has a food based mission and, among its many programs, it delivers fresh produce to food pantries around the Capital Region it would be nice to send them money during this season of helping our less fortunate and hungry neighbors,” said Katie Doran shareholder at TBC.

Capital Roots was this year’s Adopted Nonprofit for the Women’s Business Council, so in addition to the money the council raised the donation was a nice way to end a year long campaign from the area’s business people to support such a meaningful organization.
