Floser speaks at Albany Law School about Non-Traditional Career Paths

Johanne M. Floser, Business Advisory Services Client Manager at Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte, CPAs P.C. (TBC) was invited to be a one of 5 panelists at the recent New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) Lawyers in Transition Committee program.  The panel discussion, “Using Your JD to Your Advantage: Non-Traditional Career Paths”, was held on September 11, 2014 at the Albany Law School Career Center and webcast statewide.

Floser spoke to an audience of nearly 75 law school students and recent graduates, and drew on her nearly 20 years of accounting, valuation and related business advisory services experience, to highlight alternative career path opportunities for law school students and graduates to consider. During her career, Floser has conducted valuations of privately held business enterprises and professional practices, as well as assessments of advanced academic degrees and professional licenses, for use in matrimonial matters, litigation, buy/sell transactions, estate tax proceedings and other circumstances.  Floser received a Certified Business Appraiser (CBA) designation from Institute of Business Appraisers, Inc. (IBA) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation from the National Association of Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).  In addition, she is a member of the IBA and NACVA, as well as the American Business Appraisers (ABA) National Network, Capital District Women’s Bar Association (CDWBA), a chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, and the Albany Area Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Floser is also on the board of directors of The Legal Project.
