POSITION TITLE:  TPA Specialist

Teal, Becker and Chiaramonte, CPAs, P.C. (TBC) is seeking a highly motivated individual with at least three to five years of relevant work experience within the Retirement Plan Third Party Administration (TPA) field.

The TPA Specialist will work directly with the Pension Plan Administration department and report to the Director for Pension Plan Administration. Position objective is to be the primary contact for TBC’s pension plan clients and perform other duties to assist with plan administration.

Responsibilities Include:

  • 401(k) and defined contribution administration experience, defined benefit and cash balance experience a plus
  • In charge responsibility and primary contact for pension clients
  • Performance of discrimination testing, IRS and DOL reporting, and participant reporting
  • Loan and distributions processing
  • Plan document maintenance
  • Conversion of plans to different platforms
  • Interaction with investment companies and brokers for client investment issues
  • Experience with Datair Pension System a plus

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or General Business.
  • Three to Five years minimum experience in any of the following: retirement plans, accounting or in a professional services business environment.

Professional and Technical Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills, customer service skills and client relationship management.
  • Sound understanding of retirement plan design.
  • Proficient in computer systems, word processing software, basic database software including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
